Student Spotlight: 8th Grade Student Joins Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council, Showcasing Commitment to Civic Leadership 

St. Mary’s Academy proudly celebrates the achievement of 8th grader Na’Jai Williams, who was recently inducted into the prestigious Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council following her completion of the Junior Civic Leadership Academy. 

Williams received this certificate from the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Engagement and Office of Youth and Families recognizing her commitment to civic leadership, community service, and her vision for a brighter future in New Orleans. 

The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council serves as a platform for young leaders to engage with civic issues, collaborate with peers, and provide valuable input on matters impacting the city’s youth. Na’Jai’s induction into this esteemed group highlights her dedication to making a positive difference in her community.  

Na’Jai’s accomplishment is a testament to the values and education instilled at St. Mary’s Academy, where students are encouraged to lead with purpose. We congratulate Na’Jai on this milestone and look forward to seeing the incredible impact she will continue to make.
